a Few questions to answer from a blog friend over at Green Eggs and Goats

Heather at Green Eggs and Goats has these questions on her website and she gladly let me put my two cents on each of the questions.  So please take a look over at greeneggsandgoats.com for some really good information and at the same time meet a really neat family.

So here we go with 11 random things about ME:

1.  Married my husband from a blind date.
2.  Have been married for 25 years.
3.  After 15 years of marriage we welcome our son into the world.
4.  I work full time away from home.
5.  I love to write....  I think you should have neat hand writing.
6.  I love to cook and love every cookbook.
7.  Our farm at home is 10 acres and we also own 51 acres that has been in the family since 1885.
8.  I love to walk in the pasture with the sheep.
9.  I love a good nap.
10. I had to have a c-section because my son weighted in at 9 lb 10 oz.
11...  I love just being able to meet new people with the same interest.

Now for some questions:

1.  What is your earliest memory?  this is a good one since I can't remember what I did 10 minutes ago...  but I do remember living out of state when I was little.

2.  How has your life been different then what  you'd imagined?  Well... really it has not been any different... there are a few things that I would like to change.. but I am happy with everything that I have.

3.  What was your childhood like?  difficult... but focused on the good memories

4.  Do you have a favorite story about your kids?  everyday is a story with my son.  I could write a page everyday.

5.  How would you describe a perfect day?   Bright sunshine.. bees buzzing... birds chirping... sheep grazing... hens laying... dog barking.... husband plowing.. son playing... supper cooked and laundry folded...
and me sitting back with a glass of sweet ice tea perfecting my handwriting.

6.  Do you like your job?  I do like my job...... First I am a mom and I do love it... second I am a wife and I do love it...  ups and downs but love it...  my job away from home is stressful at times but i would not trade it.

7.  Do you like your handwriting?  YES!!!!

8.  What is your favorite smell?  Something baking from the oven

9.   What three possessions can you not live without?   a pen and notebook.... I always have this in my purse.....  my cowboy boots....  my bible...  in print and on my tablet.

10.  Do you sarcasm a lot?  not really,  I tend to listen more than I speak.

11.  Would you rather have the power to be invisible or the power to read minds?  invisible for sure...  there are a few places I would love to be that fly on the wall and this way I could.

I hope you have enjoyed this little section about me...   don't stay away too long..  please check back from time to time to see what is happening at Feed Sack Cooking and Life at Jamison-Trace Farms.

Many Blessings

NO Kissing at this gate...... just a passage to the pasture

No Kissing at this gate.... this is our Kissing Gate build by Plowboy aka husband.
He found these plans online and we really needed a way into the pasture.  The electric fence was too high and plus I had already been bitten by it.  This is the best opening into the pasture and we have plans to put in several more.  This gate does not have any locks.  The gate swings back and forth and is designed to keep all your critters in. If the animals push against it,  it will close up the opening..... we love it.....

Sheep Shearing..... our first attempt

It was wool removing day last saturday.  This was Plowboy's first time to shear the sheep.  Sweetpea was close at hand to help.  I was the time keeper, photographer and the go getter.  No sheep was harm in the process they just came out looking all cool with their new haircut.

Prayers Please

Matthew 18:19

King James Version
19 Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven

Hello Blog Freinds,
Please agree with me on the above verse for unspoken prayer request.  Those of you who know me a little better understand my struggles each month.  Please lift those up also.  Thanks

Many Blessings to each of you.
